The book of Acts is one of the most critical books for understanding the Bible, but also one of the most challenging. It bridges the gap between the life of Christ recorded in the four gospels, and the epistles of Paul, helping explain the vast difference between these two portions of Scripture. These studies provide a verse by verse study through this important book from a dispensational viewpoint, showing the transition from God’s focus on Israel to the start of the Church, the Body of Christ.

These Bible studies were taught by Pastor Gregg Bing in the Adult Sunday School Class at Grace Bible Church in Fort Worth, Texas from 2014 to 2015.

Remembrances of Timothy

2 Timothy

(2 Timothy 2:3-5) We look at Paul's knowledge of Timothy's fearful and timid nature as well as his remembrances of Timothy which he notes to encourage this young man who was, no doubt, troubled by Paul's imprisonment and impending execution. We consider Paul's thanks to God for Timothy and his unceasing prayers for his young son in the faith. We also see Paul's reminders to Timothy about his spiritual heritage and his genuine faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

From Series: "2 Timothy"

A verse by verse study of Paul's last letter, written to Timothy, his son in the faith. Paul, knowing he had completed his own ministry from the Lord and was near the end of his life, wrote this letter to Timothy (and to all believers) stressing the importance of continuing the ministry of God's Word. Perilous times were coming, during which more and more people would resist the truth and even turn their ears away from it. Yet, the charge to Timothy, as well as to every believer, is to hold fast to the truth of the mystery and the gospel of God's grace that God had given through Paul, to continue to live out these truths, and to faithfully proclaim this message of grace to others.
