  • Past Pentecost to PaulPast Pentecost to Paul
There seems to be an almost universal misunderstanding of the significance of Pentecost as it relates to God’s divine plan for the ages. It has taken on ideas and religious beliefs that were never intended in God’s Word. Examples of these “added” beliefs are: Pentecost means a particular group of religious people who believe in signs, miracles, healings, speaking in tongues, ...
  • Stepping Stones to TruthStepping Stones to Truth
The Step of Faith It is interesting and instructive that our English word “faith” is only used twice as a noun in the Old Testament! The words faithful, faithfully, and even faithless are used to describe or to tell how Israel reacted to God, but Deuteronomy 32:20 and Habakkuk 2:4 are the only ones that point out a fact. The first tells of Israel’s lack ...
  • The AgesThe Ages
An “Age” could be defined as a period of indefinite duration and characterized by what transpires in the period, especially of a moral and spiritual nature. • Fellowship with ChristFellowship with Christ
It must be understood that there can be no fellowship with Christ apart from knowing Him as personal Saviour. Fellowship involves agreement. A “dead” person cannot believe, share, work, or worship, which are vital parts of fellowship with Christ, our risen ...

  • Hidden in GodHidden in God
God knows everything. This is something we must acknowledge if we believe in the true God. However, it is God’s power and privilege to conceal or hide as well as reveal or make known. • Once in a LifetimeOnce in a Lifetime
We are told by philosophers that “history repeats itself.” Is this always true? Are there no once-in-a-lifetime occurrences? Someone has aptly observed that if you put your foot in a flowing stream of water that you could never accomplish the same thing in the same water again. We often repeat the same words over and over again or tell the ...
