A series of Bible messages that addresses the problems that seem to be steadily growing worse every day, both in our country and in the world. We are living in the mist of a global pandemic (Coronavirus) that has adversely affected so many people in so many ways. We are living in a time of great social and political unrest which has divided people in so many ways and resulted in a growing animosity between them. The greatest problem in the world is a spiritual problem, and the greatest need in our world is love. Not the type of love that the unbelieving world usually talks about, but the kind of love that comes from God, the kind of love described by the Greek word “agape” in the New Testament Scriptures. In this series, we explore the meaning and the characteristics of agape love and how it can impact our world for good.

These Bible messages were preached in 2020 (in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic and the social unrest over racial issues) by Pastor Gregg Bing during the morning worship service at Grace Bible Church in Fort Worth, TX.

Broken Cisterns

Sunday Morning Message

The Lord prophesied to Judah in the final days before their captivity that they had committed two evils: they had forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters, and they had hewn for themselves broken cisterns which can hold no water. Most people have done the same thing today: turning away from the Lord and seeking to find meaning in their lives in ways that provide no satisfaction.
