Our Savior, the Lord Jesus, was the greatest Teacher who ever lived. Even unbelieving Jews recognized that “No man ever spoke like this Man!” One of the tools that Jesus used in teaching was parables, which are typically defined as stories or situations from daily life used to illustrate a spiritual truth. In this series of lessons, we study Jesus’ use of parables, looking at how and why Jesus used parables, as well as examining many of the major parables recorded in the synoptic gospels.

These Bible lessons were taught by Pastor Gregg Bing in 2022 during the adult Sunday school class at Grace Bible Church in Fort Worth, TX.

Why Jesus Spoke in Parables - 1

The Parables of Jesus

(Matthew 13:10-15) Why did Jesus speak to the multitudes in parables? Jesus' disciples asked Him that very question after He told the parable of the sower in Matthew 13. In this lesson, we begin to examine the answer Jesus gave, which is found in verses 11-17.
