The Apostle Paul speaks about “the message of the cross” in his first letter to the Corinthians; a message which is the power of God unto salvation to those who hear and believe it. In this brief series, we examine three aspects of this message: the person who hung on that cross, the price that He paid on that cross, and the different perceptions that people have of that message.

These Bible messages were preached by Pastor Gregg Bing in 2019 during the morning worship services at Grace Bible Church in Fort Worth, TX.

Suffering for Christ's Name

Acts - Book of Transitions

(Acts 5:33-42). After the twelve apostles were arrested and brought before the Sanhedrin, Peter and the other apostles gave a bold testimony for Jesus Christ before these Jewish rulers, but they were not persuaded. They were cut through the heart, meaning they were furious and plotted to put the apostles to death. However, Gamaliel, a famous rabbi, intervened and counseled the Sanhedrin to let the apostles alone and see what happened. After the council beat (scourged) them and commanded them not to speak in Jesus' name, they let the apostles go. In this study, we focus on how the apostles reacted to the persecution and sufferings they endured for the name of their Savior, Jesus Christ.

From Series: "Acts - Book of Transitions"

The book of Acts is one of the most important books in the Bible, touching on many key doctrines that affect how we worship and serve the Lord. Yet, it is also one of the most misunderstood books of the Bible, an issue that has caused great division among believers. This series of lessons is a verse by verse study, from a dispensational perspective, through the book of Acts, a book that is marked by transition. These messages were preached by Pastor Gregg Bing at Grace Bible Church during the morning worship service in 2022-2023.
