Barnabas - Ministry of Encouragement
A man named Joses had a gift for encouragement, therefore the apostles called him "Barnabas," which means "son of encouragement." Throughout his ministry, he lives up to this new name, especially in association with the Apostle Paul. He provides a good example to us of how encouraging people is a real ministry of the Lord.
