A Scriptural Look at Calvinism

(John 6:30-40) We continue looking at Jesus' discourse on being the Bread of Life, in which He exposes the multitudes, who are following Him for the wrong reasons, as superficial disciples. Jesus declares that all those given Him by the Father will come to Him and He will not cast out. While Calvinists insist this is a reference to the elect, Jesus' prayer in John 17 shows that those given to Him by the Father already belonged to the Father, having heard and believed the Word.
