This series of messages is a dispensational look at the subject of prayer. Prayer is such an important part of our lives as believers, but we often don’t know how or what to pray for. Many believers take some passages out of context; instructions given specifically to Israel under the law or in anticipation of the kingdom, are applied to believers today in this present age of grace. This only causes confusion and often brings disappointment in a person’s prayer life. These lessons provide practical guidelines for prayer in this present dispensation of grace.

These Bible studies were taught by Gary Googe in the adult Sunday school class at Grace Bible Church in Fort Worth, Texas in 2019.

Limited Atonement - 3

A Scriptural Look at Calvinism

As we continue looking at limited atonement, the 3rd tenet of Calvinism, we consider an issue surrounding this doctrine that bothers many Calvinists, which is the idea of double jeopardy. They reason that if Christ died for all men, then why must, or how can those who reject Christ be required to pay for their own sins in hell. We consider several different passages of Scripture that make it clear that: 1) Christ did die for those who would reject Him and, yes, they will pay for their sins in the lake of fire for all eternity; 2) While Christ's death is sufficient to save all people only those who believe in Him for salvation actually experience the benefits of His finished work for their sins; 3) Only those who are "in Christ" (having believed in Him for salvation) will have their sins forgiven and the righteousness of Christ imputed to them.
