Most people assume that water baptism is something that Christians should still practice today, but they certainly don’t agree as to who, how, or why it should be practiced. The Apostle Paul, our apostle for this present dispensation of grace, declares in Ephesians 4:3-6 that one aspect of the unity of the Spirit is that there is only one baptism. In this brief series, we examine what Paul meant by this and how it affects our understanding of the place of baptism in God’s purpose for His people.

These Bible messages on the One Baptism were preached by Pastor Gregg Bing in 2006-2007 during the morning worship services at Grace Bible Church in Fort Worth, TX.

The Church at Jerusalem

Acts - Book of Transitions

(Acts 2:39-47). Having heard the word Peter preached as led by the Holy Spirit, about 3000 souls were saved on the day of Pentecost. The Lord added these believers to the church. But which church was this? Most Christians assume it was the Church, the Body of Christ, which God is building today. In this message, we examine the nature of this church, as described in Acts 2, and see that it was a different called out group of believers, a church associated with the promise of Israel's kingdom.

From Series: "Acts - Book of Transitions"

The book of Acts is one of the most important books in the Bible, touching on many key doctrines that affect how we worship and serve the Lord. Yet, it is also one of the most misunderstood books of the Bible, an issue that has caused great division among believers. This series of lessons is a verse by verse study, from a dispensational perspective, through the book of Acts, a book that is marked by transition. These messages were preached by Pastor Gregg Bing at Grace Bible Church during the morning worship service in 2022-2023.
