Most people assume that water baptism is something that Christians should still practice today, but they certainly don’t agree as to who, how, or why it should be practiced. The Apostle Paul, our apostle for this present dispensation of grace, declares in Ephesians 4:3-6 that one aspect of the unity of the Spirit is that there is only one baptism. In this brief series, we examine what Paul meant by this and how it affects our understanding of the place of baptism in God’s purpose for His people.

These Bible messages on the One Baptism were preached by Pastor Gregg Bing in 2006-2007 during the morning worship services at Grace Bible Church in Fort Worth, TX.

Prophecy and Mystery - 4

Sunday Morning Message

[Rightly Dividing Paul's Epistles] We continue our studies on the importance of distinguishing between prophecy and mystery. Truth concerning God's purpose for His earthly people, Israel, was the subject of prophecy, while His purpose for His heavenly people, the Church, the Body of Christ, was kept a mystery until Paul. This important distinction helps us understand what portions of Scripture are written to and about us during this present dispensation of grace. While many contend that all of Paul's epistles are to and about the Church of this age, we really need to "rightly divide" even Paul's epistles, particularly those letters written during the transitional book of Acts.
