The Parable of the Marriage Feast

The Parables of Jesus

(Matthew 22:1-14) We examine the third of three parables Jesus directed to the Jewish rulers after they challenged His authority to cleanse the temple. The parable of the marriage feast shows Israel's rejection of the kingdom God prepared for them and the judgment that would come upon the nation because of that rejection. The passage also deals with God will judge individual sinners based on their righteous standing in His eyes.
