In Philippians 3:10, the Apostle Paul expresses his heartfelt desire, “that I may know Him (Christ).” Paul had known Christ for many years as his Savior and Lord, so what did he mean? Paul desired to know Jesus Christ more deeply through experiencing a close, personal relationship with Him on a daily basis. In this series of Bible messages, we explore how we, as believers in Christ, can experience this same thing in our own lives.

These Bible messages entitled “Knowing Christ” were preached by Pastor Gregg Bing in 2021 during the morning worship services at Grace Bible Church in Fort Worth, TX.

There is One Baptism - Part 4

The Baptisms of Scripture

Continuing our study of the one baptism for this present dispensation of grace: the work of the Holy Spirit baptizing believers the moment they trust in Christ as Savior. In this study, we examine Romans 6:1-13 which teaches that believers who are baptized into Christ, are also baptized into His death, burial and resurrection. We consider how being immersed and enveloped through baptism into His finished work transforms our lives.

Scripture References: Ephesians 4:20-24, Ephesians 2:4-6, Galatians 2:20, Romans 6:1-14

From Series: "The Baptisms of Scripture"

This series of Bible studies examines the many different baptisms found in the Scriptures, looking at the practice and meaning of each. Much focus will be placed on the one baptism that is still in operation today in this present dispensation of God's grace: the baptism by the Holy Spirit that places believers into Christ. These lessons were given during the adult Sunday school class at Grace Bible Church in 2021.
