The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in history; it is the central theme of the Scriptures; it is the crisis point through which God’s eternal purpose of redemption was accomplished. It is imperative that we study and know about this critical event in the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In this series, we examine one particular aspect of the crucifixion: the 7 statements Jesus made while He hung on the cross. These statements, which were uttered during the greatest event in history, are clearly significant. We will look at the order in which the statements were made, the situation and purpose for each statement, and the insight each one gives us into the mind and heart of our Savior as well as the reason that He died on that cross.

Paul Goes to Jerusalem - 1

Acts - Book of Transitions

(Acts 21:1-26) Was Paul in the will of God when he purposed to go to Jerusalem? As he journeyed there, the Holy Spirit testified in every city that chains and tribulations awaited him, but these warnings did not deter him. This morning, we look at the final leg of his journey to Jerusalem and his meeting with James and the elders of the church. These church leaders glorified God for Paul's ministry among the Gentiles, but were concerned with the rumors that had spread about Paul's ministry to the Jews as he has traveled. What they suggest and how Paul responds causes many to question if Paul's actions and motives were right or not.

From Series: "Acts - Book of Transitions"

The book of Acts is one of the most important books in the Bible, touching on many key doctrines that affect how we worship and serve the Lord. Yet, it is also one of the most misunderstood books of the Bible, an issue that has caused great division among believers. This series of lessons is a verse by verse study, from a dispensational perspective, through the book of Acts, a book that is marked by transition. These messages were preached by Pastor Gregg Bing at Grace Bible Church during the morning worship service in 2022-2023.
