The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in history; it is the central theme of the Scriptures; it is the crisis point through which God’s eternal purpose of redemption was accomplished. It is imperative that we study and know about this critical event in the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In this series, we examine one particular aspect of the crucifixion: the 7 statements Jesus made while He hung on the cross. These statements, which were uttered during the greatest event in history, are clearly significant. We will look at the order in which the statements were made, the situation and purpose for each statement, and the insight each one gives us into the mind and heart of our Savior as well as the reason that He died on that cross.

Prophecy and Mystery - 5

Sunday Morning Message

[The Hebrew-Christian Epistle] - The books of Hebrews through the Revelation are typically referred to as "the General Epistles," because most believe they are written to all believers, including the Church, the Body of Christ. This morning, we take a brief look at the Jewish nature of these New Testament letters, noting that they do not contain any mystery truth concerning the Church of this age, but primarily address the prophesied purpose of God for Israel. While these letters are certainly for our learning and should be read and studied, they are not specifically to or about believers in this present dispensation of grace. A better name for this group of books is "The Hebrew-Christian Epistles."
