The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in history; it is the central theme of the Scriptures; it is the crisis point through which God’s eternal purpose of redemption was accomplished. It is imperative that we study and know about this critical event in the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In this series, we examine one particular aspect of the crucifixion: the 7 statements Jesus made while He hung on the cross. These statements, which were uttered during the greatest event in history, are clearly significant. We will look at the order in which the statements were made, the situation and purpose for each statement, and the insight each one gives us into the mind and heart of our Savior as well as the reason that He died on that cross.

Ministry of the Twelve Diminishes

Acts - Book of Transitions

(Acts 12) The stoning of Stephen in Acts 7 was a significant turning point in God's dealings with Israel. This is indicated by several transitions that are recorded in chapters 8-12. This morning, we look at chapter 12, which shows how the ministry of the twelve apostles that was so prominent in the early chapters of the book now clearly diminishes. The events recorded here lead in to the focus of the last half of book of Acts: the ministry of the Apostle Paul.

From Series: "Acts - Book of Transitions"

The book of Acts is one of the most important books in the Bible, touching on many key doctrines that affect how we worship and serve the Lord. Yet, it is also one of the most misunderstood books of the Bible, an issue that has caused great division among believers. This series of lessons is a verse by verse study, from a dispensational perspective, through the book of Acts, a book that is marked by transition. These messages were preached by Pastor Gregg Bing at Grace Bible Church during the morning worship service in 2022-2023.
