The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in history; it is the central theme of the Scriptures; it is the crisis point through which God’s eternal purpose of redemption was accomplished. It is imperative that we study and know about this critical event in the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In this series, we examine one particular aspect of the crucifixion: the 7 statements Jesus made while He hung on the cross. These statements, which were uttered during the greatest event in history, are clearly significant. We will look at the order in which the statements were made, the situation and purpose for each statement, and the insight each one gives us into the mind and heart of our Savior as well as the reason that He died on that cross.

Paul Goes to Jerusalem - 2

Acts - Book of Transitions

(Acts 21:17-26) When Paul arrived in Jerusalem, he was told by James and the elders of the Jerusalem church that there were myriads of Jews who believed and yet were still zealous for the law. These Jews had heard that Paul taught Jews everywhere to forsake Moses (the law). These church leaders told Paul to join together with four men who had taken a Jewish vow to prove that the rumors about him were not true, and Paul did what they asked. Was he wrong to do so? Why would Paul continue to keep the customs of the law during his Acts period ministry? This morning, we answer these questions by looking at the nature of the Acts period itself as well as Paul's ministry during that time.

From Series: "Acts - Book of Transitions"

The book of Acts is one of the most important books in the Bible, touching on many key doctrines that affect how we worship and serve the Lord. Yet, it is also one of the most misunderstood books of the Bible, an issue that has caused great division among believers. This series of lessons is a verse by verse study, from a dispensational perspective, through the book of Acts, a book that is marked by transition. These messages were preached by Pastor Gregg Bing at Grace Bible Church during the morning worship service in 2022-2023.
