The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in history; it is the central theme of the Scriptures; it is the crisis point through which God’s eternal purpose of redemption was accomplished. It is imperative that we study and know about this critical event in the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In this series, we examine one particular aspect of the crucifixion: the 7 statements Jesus made while He hung on the cross. These statements, which were uttered during the greatest event in history, are clearly significant. We will look at the order in which the statements were made, the situation and purpose for each statement, and the insight each one gives us into the mind and heart of our Savior as well as the reason that He died on that cross.

These Bible messages were preached in 2020 by Pastor Gregg Bing during the morning worship service at Grace Bible Church in Fort Worth, TX.

Peter Sent to the Gentiles

Acts - Book of Transitions

(Acts 10:1-33). In the closing verses of Acts chapter 9, Luke records the continuation of Peter's ministry to the Jews, healing a paralyzed man in Lydda and raising a woman from the dead in in Joppa. However, in Acts chapter 10, Peter is sent somewhere unexpected: the home of a Gentile named Cornelius. This morning, we look at how God prepared the hearts of both Cornelius and Peter for this momentous encounter; another significant transition that took place after the rulers of Israel rejected the ministry of the Holy Spirit through Stephen and stoned him to death.

The book of Acts is one of the most important books in the Bible, touching on many key doctrines that affect how we worship and serve the Lord. Yet, it is also one of the most misunderstood books of the Bible, an issue that has caused great division among believers. This series of lessons is a verse by verse study, from a dispensational perspective, through the book of Acts, a book that is marked by transition. These messages were preached by Pastor Gregg Bing at Grace Bible Church during the morning worship service in 2022-2023.
