The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in history; it is the central theme of the Scriptures; it is the crisis point through which God’s eternal purpose of redemption was accomplished. It is imperative that we study and know about this critical event in the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In this series, we examine one particular aspect of the crucifixion: the 7 statements Jesus made while He hung on the cross. These statements, which were uttered during the greatest event in history, are clearly significant. We will look at the order in which the statements were made, the situation and purpose for each statement, and the insight each one gives us into the mind and heart of our Savior as well as the reason that He died on that cross.

Unto You is Born a Savior

Sunday Morning Message

The world celebrates Christmas--it is the holiday event of the year! People even talk and sing about the birth of Jesus, but most do not know who He really is or why He came into the world. This morning, we look at the record of Jesus' birth found in Luke 2 and the appearance of the angel to the shepherds that night, who announced: "Behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all people. For there is born unto you this day in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." May we ever remember this wonderful truth, not just at Christmas, but throughout the year; glorifying and praising God for this wonderful gift of His grace.
