The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in history; it is the central theme of the Scriptures; it is the crisis point through which God’s eternal purpose of redemption was accomplished. It is imperative that we study and know about this critical event in the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In this series, we examine one particular aspect of the crucifixion: the 7 statements Jesus made while He hung on the cross. These statements, which were uttered during the greatest event in history, are clearly significant. We will look at the order in which the statements were made, the situation and purpose for each statement, and the insight each one gives us into the mind and heart of our Savior as well as the reason that He died on that cross.

God's Purpose for His Life

Joseph - A Life of Integrity

Joseph brought Jacob and his entire family to Egypt to care for them through the famine years, thus preserving God's purpose for the nation Israel, which was to bring the Savior into the world. Joseph recognized that though his brothers had meant evil toward him, God had meant it all for good.

From Series: "Joseph - A Life of Integrity"

The life of Joseph, the favored son of the the patriarch Jacob, provides a wonderful example of a life on integrity. Though his life was filled with trials, hardships, and injustices, he trusted in God no matter what his circumstances. He maintained his integrity, living a life that was faithful, honest, and morally upright, so that God could carry out His purpose in Joseph's life.
