Spirit's Coming- Promised
The coming of the Holy Spirit into the world was promised by the Lord Jesus to His apostles on several occasions, but His coming was initially "the promise of the Father" which we saw given in the Old Testament. This was a promise specifically to Israel, at least initially. It was a promise of the power, presence, and provision of God through Him.
