We examine another proof text used by Calvinists to support their doctrine of unconditional election, Ephesians 1:4-5, the only passage which speaks of God choosing "before the foundation of the world." However, rather than God choosing WHO will be saved, the focus of this passage (vs. 3-14) is on WHAT God has chosen for those who come to be "in Christ" by hearing and believing the gospel (vs. 13).
