The Parables of Jesus

(Luke 12:54-58) In this study, we look at the preceding context for the parable of the Unfruitful Fig Tree (Luke 13:6-9). Jesus, in speaking with the multitude in Israel, identifies two issues that affect our understanding of the the parable found found in chapter 13: 1) Israel's failure to discern the time of Christ's coming into the world, and 2) Jesus' admonition to Israel to settle their sin debt with God.
