The last group of Paul's epistles to local churches primarily deals with Christ and His Coming. This group consists of Paul's two letters to the believers at Thessalonica who were suffering affliction and persecution from the unbelieving Jews there. Because of this tribulation, these believers were worried and confused about issues having to do with the tribulation period, the day of the Lord, and the return of Christ for His church. Paul addresses these concerns as well as instructing believers how to live in light of their blessed hope in Christ.
