Framework for Israel's Future - Seventy Weeks Vision - 1 - Dan 9

Things to Come

(Daniel 9:1-23) We begin looking at the 70 weeks vision in Daniel 9. Daniel, having read the prophecies of Jeremiah, believed that, with Babylon's fall to Medo/Persia, the time was near for God to turn from His anger toward His people, Israel, and to rebuild their temple and restore them to their land. So, Daniel prayed to God, confessing Israel's sins and praising God for His greatness. In answer to Danieil's prayer, God sent the angel Gabriel to give Daniel a vision and enabling him to understand its meaning.
