Before the world was conceived to be,
God had a plan for you and me,
It was born in love with wisdom’s part
But ripped at the seams of the Father’s heart.
For His Son He’d need to send away
For us to see a future day,
Christ was the key to life for man,
And was the wisdom of God’s plan.
From the Father to a dying earth,
If man was going to have rebirth,
The Father must anguish, the Son must die,
If man’s to live with God on high.
Why, why would God hurt Himself so
And have His Son stoop so low,
To lose the presence of the Beloved Son
Was the saddest day since time had begun.
The truth is stated in God’s Word,
“God is love” is the message heard,
He gave His life on Calvary,
And proved His love eternally.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” —John 3:16
