Oh, the joy of living
Is not found in things,
Achievements, food, and dining,
In praise that fame soon brings.
It’s found in knowing Jesus,
All Man, all God, our Head,
Knowing and trusting in Him
In all that’s done and said.
For you see it’s in a Person
Our feet reach solid ground,
The answer to life’s questions
In Christ Jesus can be found.
In Him we find our purpose,
As He shows us how to live,
To honor here our Father
With all we have to give.
Life’s answer is rather simple,
And most men fail to see,
The simplicity in Jesus,
The One who sets men free.
“But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.” —Romans 6:22
