Called to be a member
In the body of His Son,
Perfected and exalted
When His final work is done.

What a wondrous calling
For a rebel such as me,
Lost in this world’s darkness,
Till the light I came to see.

The Jew has earthly glory,
The Gentile shares that, too,
But God has a higher calling
Reserved for me and you.

We’ll reign with Him most glorious
For Heaven is our place,
Ruling over angels,
All matter, time, and space.

Co-heirs with the Master,
Secure and spirit-led,
Raised to sit with Him on high,
Our glorious, risen Head.

“And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.” (Ephesians 1:22-23)
