We begin looking at the crucifixion, examining the following events: Simon of Cyrene bearing the cross for Jesus, Jesus' warning to the daughters of Jerusalem, arriving at Golgotha Jesus is nailed to the cross along with two thieves on either side, Pilate's inscription over the cross, and the soldiers dividing Jesus' garments.
In this series of studies, we examine the passion week, the final week of our Lord's life here on this earth that was marked by sufferings and culminated with His death on the cross for our sins. We conclude with a look at our Savior's glorious resurrection after three days in the grave.
