Israel - Faith in God's Provision
(Hebrews 11:29-40) There are two instances of faith attributed to the children of Israel in Hebrews 11, "The Hall of Faith." The interesting thing about them is that there is a 40 year gap in between them, during which there is very little faith exhibited by God's people. The first act of faith is their crossing the Red Sea after God brought them out of Egypt. The second act does not occur until they enter the promised land under Joshua. This morning, we contrast the two different generations of Israelites to whom the Scriptures attribute these acts of faith.
