Water Baptism During Jesus' Ministry
When Jesus began His public ministry, the message He proclaimed was the same as John the Baptist: "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" Therefore, it's not surprising that water baptism was a part of His ministry as well, though Jesus Himself did not baptize, but left that work to His disciples. We consider a possible reason why Jesus Himself did not baptize new disciples in water.

This series of Bible studies examines the many different baptisms found in the Scriptures, looking at the practice and meaning of each. Much focus will be placed on the one baptism that is still in operation today in this present dispensation of God's grace: the baptism by the Holy Spirit that places believers into Christ. These lessons were given during the adult Sunday school class at Grace Bible Church in 2021.
