Walk as Children of Light
(Eph. 5:8-14) The 5th chapter of Ephesians contains three commands to believers as to how they are to walk (daily conduct, lifestyle). The second of these is: "Walk as children of light." Before we trusted Christ as Savior, we "were darkness," having no relationship with God and unable to understand the things of God. But, now that we have been saved by God's grace, we are "light in the Lord." This change in our spiritual condition should be reflected in our walk, therefore, we are commanded to "walk as children of light," letting the light of Jesus Christ shine through us. This morning, we examine what this means and why it is important to our testimony for Christ.

A verse by verse, dispensational study through the book of Ephesians, one of Paul's prison epistles written while he was in prison in Rome at the close of the book of Acts. This book most fully unfolds the truth of the mystery of Christ; truth that had been kept secret from men of past ages, but has now been revealed to and through the Apostle Paul. This mystery of God's will concerns Gods' purpose for a new body of believers, the Church, the Body of Christ, living under a new dispensation of God, the dispensation of grace.
