The Parable of the Fig Tree - 3

The Parables of Jesus

(Matthew 24:29-35) We continue looking at the Olivet Discourse in Matthew chapter 24, a prophetic discourse Jesus gives to answer questions from His disciples. We consider the specific signs Jesus gives of His future coming (vs. 29-31), the parable of the fig tree in which He stresses recognizing the signs that His coming is near, and finally a difficult statement Jesus makes that that generation might actually see all these things happen.
