We continue looking at the importance of making the distinction between prophecy and mystery. In this lesson, we examine the four gospel accounts which record the birth, life/ministry, death, resurection and ascension of Jesus Christ. These are wonderful passages of Scripture that we must study and learn, for so many reasons. However, the truth of the mystery is not mentioned anywhere in these gospel accounts. We examine two key aspects of this time period which must be noted to understand the nature of Jesus' earthly ministry: 1) Jesus lived His entire life under the dispensation of law, which affected so much of the things that He did, and 2) Jesus' ministry was directed specifically to the nation of Israel to confirm the prophesied promises God made to the fathers of that nation.
