This series of messages is a dispensational look at the subject of prayer. Prayer is such an important part of our lives as believers, but we often don’t know how or what to pray for. Many believers take some passages out of context; instructions given specifically to Israel under the law or in anticipation of the kingdom, are applied to believers today in this present age of grace. This only causes confusion and often brings disappointment in a person’s prayer life. These lessons provide practical guidelines for prayer in this present dispensation of grace.

Why Paul Baptized People with Water - Part 2

The Baptisms of Scripture

We examine the distinct nature of Paul's Acts period ministry, a transitional period during which Paul reached out with the gospel to both Jews and Gentiles. We look at the fact that there were different requirements of these groups during this period. Paul relates how he adjusted to different groups: to the Jews, to those under the law, to those without law, and to the weak. The adjustments Paul made when dealing with different groups helps explain why Paul baptized Jewish and Gentile believers in water.

From Series: "The Baptisms of Scripture"

This series of Bible studies examines the many different baptisms found in the Scriptures, looking at the practice and meaning of each. Much focus will be placed on the one baptism that is still in operation today in this present dispensation of God's grace: the baptism by the Holy Spirit that places believers into Christ. These lessons were given during the adult Sunday school class at Grace Bible Church in 2021.
