This series of messages is a dispensational look at the subject of prayer. Prayer is such an important part of our lives as believers, but we often don’t know how or what to pray for. Many believers take some passages out of context; instructions given specifically to Israel under the law or in anticipation of the kingdom, are applied to believers today in this present age of grace. This only causes confusion and often brings disappointment in a person’s prayer life. These lessons provide practical guidelines for prayer in this present dispensation of grace.

These Bible studies were taught by Gary Googe in the adult Sunday school class at Grace Bible Church in Fort Worth, Texas in 2019.

Christ Baptizing with the Holy Spirit - Part 5

The Baptisms of Scripture

We consider two final issues in regard to Christ's baptizing Israel with the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2). The first issue is to whom was the promise of the Spirit given, which Peter answers in verse 39. The second issue is to which church were new believers added who were saved on the day of Pentecost, which is mentioned in verses 41-47.

From Series: "The Baptisms of Scripture"

This series of Bible studies examines the many different baptisms found in the Scriptures, looking at the practice and meaning of each. Much focus will be placed on the one baptism that is still in operation today in this present dispensation of God's grace: the baptism by the Holy Spirit that places believers into Christ. These lessons were given during the adult Sunday school class at Grace Bible Church in 2021.
