(Eph. 1:6) We look at another of the wonderful blessings we have in Christ, all according to the will of God the Father: that we are "accepted in the Beloved." Being Mother's Day, we tie this expression in with a look at Mary, the mother of Jesus, who was told by the angel, Gabriel, that she was "highly favored." These two expressions are from the same Greek word, and these are the only two places in the New Testament where the word is found. We look at the meaning of this word and how it helps us understand the glory of the grace of God.
A verse by verse, dispensational study through the book of Ephesians, one of Paul's prison epistles written while he was in prison in Rome at the close of the book of Acts. This book most fully unfolds the truth of the mystery of Christ; truth that had been kept secret from men of past ages, but has now been revealed to and through the Apostle Paul. This mystery of God's will concerns Gods' purpose for a new body of believers, the Church, the Body of Christ, living under a new dispensation of God, the dispensation of grace.
