There is One Baptism - Part 1

The Baptisms of Scripture

While there are many different baptisms found throughout the Scriptures, Paul declares in Ephesians 4:5 that there is "one baptism." In this study, we examine the context of Paul's statement in this book of Ephesians, which was written after the close of the transitional book of Acts. This marked the setting aside of Israel, as a nation, and the full unveiling of the truth of the mystery concerning a new body of believers, the Church, living in a new dispensation of grace. These significant changes account for Paul's declaration that there is now only one baptism.

From Series: "The Baptisms of Scripture"

This series of Bible studies examines the many different baptisms found in the Scriptures, looking at the practice and meaning of each. Much focus will be placed on the one baptism that is still in operation today in this present dispensation of God's grace: the baptism by the Holy Spirit that places believers into Christ. These lessons were given during the adult Sunday school class at Grace Bible Church in 2021.
