Intro - Born to Die - 3

The Passion Week

In our introduction to the passion week (Jesus' final week of sufferings that culminated in His death), we have seen that this was God's eternal purpose. In this lesson, we look at additional indications from Jesus' earthly ministry that Jesus was "Born to Die," focusing on the fact that Jesus was despised and rejected by men during His time on earth. While there was a little flock that truly believed in Him, and while the multitudes in Israel initially flocked around Him (primarily for His miraculous healing), the majority of the Jews followed the lead of their religious rulers, who, from the beginning, did not believe in Him and sought to destroy Him.
