There is One Baptism - Part 2

The Baptisms of Scripture

We continue looking at the one baptism that Paul declares is part of the unity of the Spirit in Ephesians 4:3-6. Paul mentions baptism in eight different passages in his epistles; one passage that speaks of water baptism, two passages that speak of other baptisms, and five passages which all refer to the baptism of the Holy Spirit by which believers are placed in Christ. We also examine the meaning of the words baptize and baptism as used in the New Testament.

From Series: "The Baptisms of Scripture"

This series of Bible studies examines the many different baptisms found in the Scriptures, looking at the practice and meaning of each. Much focus will be placed on the one baptism that is still in operation today in this present dispensation of God's grace: the baptism by the Holy Spirit that places believers into Christ. These lessons were given during the adult Sunday school class at Grace Bible Church in 2021.
