The Unknown God - Part 1

The Book of Acts

When Paul arrived at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him when he found the city was completely given over to idol worship He reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and in the marketplace with whoever was there. He was confronted by two groups of Greek philosophers and invited to defend his ideas at the Areopagus. Paul found there an altar to "The Unknown God," and he used this as an opportunity to preach to these idolaters the one, true God.
