The Epistles of Paul

The Key to Understanding the Bible

While we need to read and study all Scripture (2 Tim. 3:16-17), God's plan and purpose for the Church of this present dispensation of Grace is found only in the writings of the Apostle Paul. His writings to the churches (Romans through 2 Thessalonians) provide doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction for believers regarding: Christ and His Cross, Christ and His Church, and Christ and His Coming. His letters to pastors (1 Timothy through Philemon) give special instruction concerning the worship and work of local churches and their pastors.

From Series: "The Key to Understanding the Bible"

The key which unlocks the meaning of God's Word is found in 2 Timothy 2:15: "rightly dividing the Word of truth." This means approaching God's Word from a dispensational perspective; recognizing that throughout history God has dealt with different people, over different time periods, in different ways, and for different purposes. These messages demonstrate the importance of this principle for interpreting and understanding God's Word by providing a dispensational overview of the Bible, from Genesis to the Revelation.
