Twelve Apostles Persecuted

The Book of Acts

The Jewish rulers were indignant that the twelve apostles continued healing as well as preaching in the name of Jesus, so they arrested them all. Being convinced not to kill them, by one of their rabbis, they beat them and let them go. The apostles left rejoicing that they were county worthy to suffer for Jesus' sake (Acts 5:17-42)
