Stephen Indicts the Sanhedrin

Acts - Book of Transitions

(Acts 7:40-53). Stephen's testimony before the Sanhedrin focused on showing the current Jewish rulers how they were following in the footsteps of their fathers in rejecting God and those He sent to save and rule over them. Stephen demonstrated that they were guilty of the very things he was charged with: blasphemy against Moses, God, the temple, and the law. His address ends with an indictment against the people of Israel as led by their rulers. How would they respond to the words the Holy Spirit spoke to them through God's servant, Stephen?

The book of Acts is one of the most important books in the Bible, touching on many key doctrines that affect how we worship and serve the Lord. Yet, it is also one of the most misunderstood books of the Bible, an issue that has caused great division among believers. This series of lessons is a verse by verse study, from a dispensational perspective, through the book of Acts, a book that is marked by transition. These messages were preached by Pastor Gregg Bing at Grace Bible Church during the morning worship service in 2022-2023.
