The night before Jesus was crucified, He met with His twelve apostles to share a last meal together before His death. This event is commonly called "The Last Supper" after a mural painting by Leonardo daVinci, however, what they were celebrating that night was actually the Jewish Passover, so, a better title might be "The Last Passover." This mornnig, we look at some of the key things that happened at that special meal: Jesus washing His disciples' feet, Jesus' foretelling that one of them would betray Him, and Jesus giving new meaning to the Passover memorial.
In this series of studies, we examine the passion week, the final week of our Lord's life here on this earth that was marked by sufferings and culminated with His death on the cross for our sins. We conclude with a look at our Savior's glorious resurrection after three days in the grave.
