After Jesus celebrated a last Passover with His apostles the night before He was crucified, they left the upper room to go to the Mount of Olives. While on the way, Jesus gave the remaining eleven apostles more unsettling news, that all of them would be made to stumble that night because of Him. When Peter protested and brashly asserted he would never be made to stumble, Jesus told him, "Assuredly, I say to you that this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times."
In this series of studies, we examine the passion week, the final week of our Lord's life here on this earth that was marked by sufferings and culminated with His death on the cross for our sins. We conclude with a look at our Savior's glorious resurrection after three days in the grave.
