Jesus' Baptism into Death

The Baptisms of Scripture

We have seen Jesus' baptism with water by John the Baptist at the beginning of His ministry, but there was another baptism that He would undergo at the end of this ministry that would cause Him great distress: His baptism into death. While Jesus' baptism with water was His identification with the world in their sins, His baptism into death was His identification with the world in the judgment/condemnation of our sins.

From Series: "The Baptisms of Scripture"

This series of Bible studies examines the many different baptisms found in the Scriptures, looking at the practice and meaning of each. Much focus will be placed on the one baptism that is still in operation today in this present dispensation of God's grace: the baptism by the Holy Spirit that places believers into Christ. These lessons were given during the adult Sunday school class at Grace Bible Church in 2021.
