Gentiles: Far Off - Brought Near

Ephesians

(Eph. 2:11-13) Paul commands those who are Gentile believers to remember what they were in time past: the Uncircumcision, without Christ, alienated from Israel, strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world. This morning, we examine why this was the Gentiles past condition as well as why God chose Israel to be His chosen nation. Remembering our miserable, hopeless past condition, helps us appreciate the what God has made us in Christ, all by His marvelous grace; we who were dead in sins and far off from God have been brought near to Him by the blood of Christ.

From Series: "Ephesians"

A verse by verse, dispensational study through the book of Ephesians, one of Paul's prison epistles written while he was in prison in Rome at the close of the book of Acts. This book most fully unfolds the truth of the mystery of Christ; truth that had been kept secret from men of past ages, but has now been revealed to and through the Apostle Paul. This mystery of God's will concerns Gods' purpose for a new body of believers, the Church, the Body of Christ, living under a new dispensation of God, the dispensation of grace.
