Paul's First Turn to the Gentiles

The Book of Acts

After Paul spoke in the synagogue in Antioch (Pisidia), the Gentiles begged to hear these words as well. The next Sabbath, both Jews and Gentiles came together to hear Paul preach, but the unbelieving Jews, being filled with envy, contradicted and blasphemed Paul. Paul declared it was necessary for the Jews to hear the Word first, but since they rejected it, he said, "we turn to the Gentiles." (Acts 13:38-52).
