Baptism and the Great Commission - Part 3

The Baptisms of Scripture

We continue our study of the fact that water baptism was a part of the so-called "Great Commission" Jesus gave to the eleven apostles in Mark chapter 16. We see that water baptism was required for salvation under this commission. While baptism did not save, it followed their faith in obedience to what was clearly the will of God at that time. We also look at the signs which Jesus said "will follow those who believe."

From Series: "The Baptisms of Scripture"

This series of Bible studies examines the many different baptisms found in the Scriptures, looking at the practice and meaning of each. Much focus will be placed on the one baptism that is still in operation today in this present dispensation of God's grace: the baptism by the Holy Spirit that places believers into Christ. These lessons were given during the adult Sunday school class at Grace Bible Church in 2021.
