The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in history; it is the central theme of the Scriptures; it is the crisis point through which God’s eternal purpose of redemption was accomplished. It is imperative that we study and know about this critical event in the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In this series, we examine one particular aspect of the crucifixion: the 7 statements Jesus made while He hung on the cross. These statements, which were uttered during the greatest event in history, are clearly significant. We will look at the order in which the statements were made, the situation and purpose for each statement, and the insight each one gives us into the mind and heart of our Savior as well as the reason that He died on that cross.

As God dealt with Israel under the law throughout most of the Old Testament Scriptures, what was the situation for the Gentiles, all the other nations? In this message, we look at the bleak spiritual condition of the Gentiles in times past. While Gentile salvation was prophesied, it was not realized while Israel was under the covenant of law, and the truth concerning the Church, the Body of Christ, was still a mystery, hidden in God.
